The large windows in the living room offer a phenomenal view of your own forest. The wood-burning fireplace in the living room is the highlight of every evening. And as it begins to get dark outside, the Woodsy forest transforms into a true fairy tale.
Woodsy Wellness
I had been a fan of the outdoor hot tub for a long time. The process of heating it up while spending time outside. And when you’ve reached just the right temperature, you quickly put on your swimwear! Built into the terrace is Renske’s favorite: the wood-fired hot tub. In the evening, it’s lit up to create a super cozy atmosphere. Tip! Bring a bathrobe and slippers for the Woodsy Wellness adventure! Next to the cabin, you’ll also find an outdoor shower. Perfect for cooling off after the heat of the tub or on warm summer days.

To make your visit as pleasant as possible, we’ve already taken care of many details for you. The beds are made, and towels are ready, saving you space in your suitcase! Woodsy is designed with the forest as the main character, and we take great care to preserve everything that grows and flourishes. Even the roof of the cabin is completely green, blooming differently with each season. You’ll notice this eco-friendly approach inside the cabin as well, with environmentally friendly shower gel and shampoo provided in the bathroom.
Since daily life is full of stimuli, we believe in taking a break at Woodsy and switching ‘off’ from all the noise. Instead, we focus on being ‘on’ for each other and the natural surroundings. The cabin is filled with plenty of activities to enjoy together. Alongside lighting the hot tub and cooking outdoors on the stove, you’ll find board games, nature books, a good cookbook and cycling and hiking routes stored in the kitchen bench and living room cabinet. There is Wi-Fi in the cabin, but feel free to disconnect if you wish. Make it a memorable adventure, and we hope you’ll return when you feel the Woodsy spirit calling again!

FAQ
Woodsy Cozy Cabin is suitable for up to four people. There are two sleeping cabins, each with a double bed.
At Woodsy, the minimum length of stay is two nights.
The kitchen in Woodsy is from KEUK and is fully equipped. It includes a refrigerator, oven, four-burner cooktop, and dishwasher. Additionally, there is a Jura Ono coffee machine with a Jura coffee grinder. Coffee beans are provided. There’s also a kettle, along with dishwasher tablets, kitchen linens, dish soap, and lotion. A large jar of herbal tea from Wilderland is also available.
There is a private parking space in front of the cabin, accommodating up to two cars.
We are huge fans of animals, but for various reasons, we have decided to keep Woodsy pet-free.

For a stay at Woodsy, we do not require a security deposit. We trust that all guests will treat the cabin and its belongings with care and love. In the event of any damage or breakage, we will invoice for larger amounts if necessary.
The cabin is situated in a peaceful, wooded area but not completely isolated. Within a 10-minute walk, you can reach Restaurant De Bosrust, and within a 10-minute drive, you can reach Carrefour (Lonkaplein 1, 2910 Essen) and Aldi (Spijker 22/28, 2910 Essen).
At Woodsy, you’ll sleep on mattresses from LOOF, and from experience, I can say they’re super comfortable. In the cabin, you’ll find two cozy sleeping nooks with a mattress measuring 180×210 cm. When you open the windows at the foot of the bed, you can hear the birds singing as they fill the room. You might even catch a glimpse of Woodsy the squirrel hopping by, or spot deer, which we often see here. Feel free to turn over and enjoy some extra sleep, as the soft Snurk Amsterdam bedding is far too comfortable to get up early. The sleeping nooks are also equipped with blackout blinds.
Every stay includes a hot tub with firewood, firewood for the fireplace and cooking stove, bed and bath linen, coffee, tea, pepper, salt, olive oil, and cleaning fees. Check-in is available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 PM. Check-out is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00 AM, and on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
Children are certainly welcome at Woodsy. Please note that there is no extra room to set up a camping bed or crib (please bring your own crib). There are two sleeping nooks, each with a double bed. A high chair is not available, but there is some toy provided by Woodies.
Smoking is not allowed in the cabin.
Bath and Shower Products
In the kitchen and bathroom, you’ll find products from Wellmark that are not only delightful to use but also environmentally friendly. Since we use a septic tank, it’s important to be mindful of what goes down the drain. We kindly ask you to use only the products provided. You’ll find hand soap, hand lotion, shower gel, and shampoo ready for your use.
Heat Pump Water Heater
Our cabin, nestled in the heart of the forest, is equipped with an electric heat pump water heater. This energy-efficient and eco-friendly system provides hot water sustainably. During your stay, we ask you to use hot water sparingly. Please note that it may take some time for the water heater to replenish the supply once it’s been used.
Toilet Paper
For the toilet, we use biodegradable toilet paper from The Good Roll. This is a sustainable choice, and there’s plenty available for you during your stay.
Each guest fills the hot tub with clean water themselves, so you can be 100% sure it’s fresh water. 😉
TIP: Fill the hot tub as soon as you arrive. It takes about 2 hours (1500 liters). You can then heat it up the next day (or later in the evening) using wood.
